The Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is the highest level of aircraft pilot certification. This license allows the holder to act as the pilot-in-command of aircraft in commercial air transport.
Course Quality
The ATPL course organized by BSky is certified by the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority and recognized internationally by all European Aviation Safety Agency member states.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for ATPL(A) must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a CPL(A) and a multi-engine instrument rating (IR) for aeroplanes.
- Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
Theoretical Training
The ATPL theoretical course consists of at least 650 hours for applicants with a PPL(A), covering:
- Air Law
- Aircraft General Knowledge (Airframe, Systems, Powerplant, Instrumentation)
- Performance
- Flight Planning and Monitoring
- Human Performance
- Communications (VFR/IFR)
Practical Training
Practical training involves acquiring command hours and experience on multi-engine aeroplanes to prepare for airline operations.
Certification
Upon completing the necessary experience and passing exams, students can act as pilot-in-command in commercial air transport.
